I did my Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Institute for Excellence in Higher Education, Bhopal, India. I went on to obtain a Master’s in Biochemistry from the School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University (MKU), Madurai, India. There I worked on dissertation work entitled “ Genetic analysis on the effect of RpoB mutation RpoB12 , RpoB77 in viability of ssrA strain in Escherichia coli”. Thereafter I joined Yenepoya Research Centre, Mangalore in August 2021 as a Junior Research Fellow under ICMR-DHR funded project.

Presently I am working as a Junior Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Shankar Prasad Das. My work is focused on “Investigating the role of human fungal pathogen Malassezia in pathogenesis”.
