Mr. Shaheer Koniyan received his M.Sc. in Biotechnology from the Bangalore University. He joined the Yenepoya Research Centre as a Junior Research Fellow in 2015, and in 2019, he was promoted to Senior Research Fellow by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR, India). His Ph. D work primary interest in the function of components of the double standbreak repair via non homologousend joining (NHEJ) and their cellular roles under pathological conditions including cancer and during cancer treatment conditions such as chemo and radio theraphy. Areas of focus include structure-function relationships for Estrogen receptor modulation in cancer and chemo/radio-sensitization.
