Proteomics of In Vivo Models of Ischemic Stroke: A Systematic review with a Systems Biological Perspective

This review compiles deregulated stroke proteins from a curated set of 130 in vivo proteomics studies. The compilation followed PRISMA, ARRIVE, and CAMARADES guidelines implying systematic extraction of data. The final set of studies were filtered from a total of 681 unique studies from PubMed and Web of Scinece database. In vivo deregulated proteins were compared to Clinical-bedside perturbed proteins from a set of clinical proteomics studies (n=10). Bioinformatics analysis was performed on the data extracted to propose potential stroke biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
