Research

I am currently working on the project of Bacteriophage Therapy for a multidrug-resistant organism. Multidrug resistance is the most sensitive topic in the current era because most of the pathogenic organisms are developing resistance against the standard antibiotics and there is hike in demand of therapies to treat these pathogens and restrict their growth. Bacteriophage is a naturally occurring organism that eats bacteria and thus, it is being expected that these may prove to be a promising approach for treating these infections. History on the use of Bacteriophages reveals that this approach was followed in the early times but with the gradual discovery of antibiotics this practice was stopped. Therefore, it is being expected to give certain positive impacts in the multidrug resistant bacteria.
