Studying as post-graduate in pharmacology at JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysore lead me to have a keen interest on research. With that curiosity, later I started working as a research associate in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetic team at Aurigene Discovery Technologies, Hyderabad for approximately 2 years. Where I worked on intact protein-ligand binding analysis, identification of soft-spots in new chemical entities under biotransformation using LC-MS/MS techniques. My interest towards mass spectrometry and its applications has made me to join a team having rich experience and expertise on different omics techniques at CSBMM.

Experience

  • Proteomics – Sample preparation, phospho-peptide enrichment, LC-MS/MS data acquisition, data analysis.
  • Intact protein analysis (Ligand binding assay) using HRMS (Thermo Orbitrap Q Exactive Plus)
  • Metabolite identification of new chemical entities (NCE) from in vitro (Liver microsomes and hepatocytes) and in-vivo (Plasma, urine and bile) samples using LC-MS/MS technique
  • LC-MS/MS based method development for small molecules, peptides and intact proteins

Research Interest/Area:

Proteomics, Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, LC-MS/MS based method development

Research

Development of mass spectrometry-based species-specific spectral library for Nontuberculous mycobacteria.
