I completed my Masters degree and Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Amrita School of Biotechnology. During my masters I have done a project titled ” Identification of Structured RNA binding non-coding RNAs in Actinobacteria and deciphering their possible function insilico” from National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore. During my B.Sc I have done a project a six-month project under the guidance of Dr. Nandita Mishra and Dr. Sanjay Pal on the topic “ Anti-bacterial and anti-cancer properties of ginger and 6-shogoal using C.elegance as a model organism” from Amrita School of Biotechnology. After that I joined in Yenepoya Research Centre as JRF under Dr. Yashodhar P Bhandary.

Research Interest/Area

Pulmonary Fibrosis, Lung injury and  Molecular biology

Research

I am working on the role of micro RNA in the regulation of fibrinolytic system during the lung injury and fibrosis, and to understand the molecular mechanisms behind this regulation.
