Ms. Asiamma completed her Master’s degree in Medical Microbiology (2015-2018) from Yenepoya  (Deemed to be University), Karnataka, India. During her master’s thesis, she worked on a project entitled “Microbial profile and antibiogram of blood culture isolates from a tertiary care hospital”.  She later joined Yenepoya Research Centre on 1st January, 2019 and she is working on ICMR project entitled as “Early diagnosis of Leptospirosis using Immunocarbon nanotubes”.

Research

She is currently working on ICMR project entitled as “Early diagnosis of Leptospirosis using Immunocarbon nanotubes”.  The study is to detect of Leptospira in patient serum using Immuno-Single walled carbon nanotubes by fluorescent microscopy followed by comparison to the other serolorical and gold standard method.
