M.Tech (Area): Biotechnology
Shruthi Ammankallu has obtained her M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology from the RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru in 2020. She participated in an Industry training project- “Development of monoclonal antibodies against dengue NS1 for diagnostic applications” at the Bhat Biotech India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. At CSBMM, she is working on Multi-omics profiling of gastric cancer.
Proteomics, Metabolomics, Cancer biology
The current work in CSBMM is focused on identification of molecular alterations associated with gastric adenocarcinoma undertaking both the proteomic and metabolomics approaches. Gastric cancer is one of most common type of malignancy which causes substantial number of cancer related death worldwide. This is due to poor prognosis of gastric cancer. This study will help to identify the altered proteins and metabolites associated with gastric cancer which in turn will help to understand disease progression.
