This facility is tasked with addressing the major problems of biology using computational approaches. To this end, the bioinformatics facility is equipped with a high-performance, dual-GPU computer that enables performing various types of high-throughput calculations. The workstation is equipped with the NVIDIA RTX-A4000 twin GPUs in addition to a powerful 12-core Intel-Xeon CPU, that enables the performing highly complex and demanding calculations. The computer is also equipped with various programs that are used for different types of bioinformatics calculations, such as RAxML, GROMACS, GPU-accelerated Autodock, VSFlow, gmx mmpbsa to name a few. The facility is also equipped with the BIOVIA Discovery studio computational drug discovery pipeline.
