Yenepoya Research Centre offers doctoral research programs that aim to train and mentor students to become world-class researchers. Aspiring doctoral candidates can choose the area of interest under the faculties of respective divisions at YRC. The candidates are selected through the Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Ph.D entrance exam conducted twice a year. So far, YRC has produced 104 Ph.Ds, and currently, 98 are pursuing research for their degree. The candidates are supported through fellowships from various national level fellowships such as DST-INSPIRE, CSIR-UGC-NET, DBT-JRF, ICMR-SRF, WISE etc as well as University fellowships. The research at YRC is focused on the thrust areas and doctoral research aspirants are encouraged to communicate with the respective faculty concerning their interests and research study. Overall, YRC emphasizes multi-disciplinary research, providing candidates with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to conduct independent research.
