The small animal facility is registered with Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA), Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India, New Delhi bearing the registration (Reg. No:347/PO/ReBi-S/Rc-L/01/CPCSEA). The facility houses small animals (mice, rats and rabbits) which include breeding, and procedure rooms. It is maintained under automated dark and light cycles and is provided with controlled conditions including temperature, humidity, and air pressure. Mice are maintained in Individually Ventilated Caging-Specific Pathogen Free system (IVC-SPF). The procedure room is equipped with single output anaesthesia machine and laminar hood for carrying out surgical procedures and primary culture of animal tissues.The facility is also well equipped to carry out animal histopathological, haematological and biochemical analysis.
